heh guys the cavi has 75,000 miles and i am doing full suspension yellows, ground controls, eibach front and rear, new control arm bushings, question should i do the strut mounts too. didnt know the chances of suspension being bad enought that i needed to replace the mounts just looking for some opinions before i dropped the cash or is there a tell-all sign they need to be changed

Couldn't hurt.

I'm replacing my craptastic coilovers on GR2 with AGX's & a Pro-kit (along with a few other handling goodies), I'm just waiting on some parts to be delivered Anyway, since my GR2's are blown I'm replacing the mounts too just to be on the safe side.

replace 'em you'll thank yourself later, it will save you 1 replacing then at a later time, 2 getting another alignment,3 downtime of not carving up corners or the lesser known missing work.

Your best bet would probally be to goto a parts store and pick up your mounts there.

I can't possibly understand why on earth would you go through the trouble of tearing apart the stock set up, to take 75k mile old parts, to put on a new setup?

Sure, the strut mounts aren't exactly cheap, but you save yourself plenty of time and trouble having the new setup built as a unit. Completely assemble the new parts. Pull the old @!#$, put in the new @!#$, drive 2 weeks, align.

ok guys, I really need to find somewhere to get some front and rear strut mounts at a decent price. I went to Advance Auto, and they wanted $118 a piece for the fronts, and like $70 each for the rears. Isnt that a bit pricey? I've tried any website i ccan think of, and nothing. any help is really appreciated.

sorry... didn't have time to do a complete search, but shockwarehouse.com has the rear mounts for $47 each. I know there is a site that had them all for about the same price, but I can't seem to remember the URL this early.
