Magnusson? Possible warrenty problems in future..
Thursday, April 14, 2005 2:04 PM
Does anyone have a link to this act or info on it. I think in the near future i am going to be having a fight with my extended warrenty company and i just want to be armed with the facts. I read the Faq about SEMA and them pushing for us who mod and all that jazz. If anyone wants more on my problems, check out the the maintenance section.

Thanks shifted. Wasn't sure where to put it.

Has anyone been denied on a claim before with an aftermarket lowered suspension? I have a feeling they are gong to be blaming my Eibach Prokit and AGX's for causing the high speed well vibs and shot hub assembly. Well thats what the tech thinks it might be.

Like I said in your other thread, since you are lowered, and without a camber kit, the camber could have added stress to your wheel bearings. These things don't last forever on a stock suspension, much less a lowered one.

I don't think the MM warranty act has any bearing whatsoever on extended warranties. That act is for manufacturers new vehicle warranties. After that, when you get involved in an extended warranty then you're on your own and they often have VERY strict conditions.

Just do it yourself...

I bought mine from autozone for like 70 bucks- took me about 20 minutes to install.

Well i am offically never dealing with JOE ROMANO Chevrolet again. Went down there today and they basically just told me to @!#$ off and they wanted me to pay another diagnostic fee before they touch anything when i have paid for it 2 times already. @!#$ THEM!!!! I will do it myself, seeing they can only void my new wheel bearings under that warrenty and they messed up anyways....

Well i can't afford them right now anyways. Guess i got to keep it under 70Mph for another 2-3 weeks befor i can get some extra cash. ...

Honestly... I think they can void it for anything they want to.

Basically, now the onus would be on you to prove that your mods didn't cause the problem, rather than the other way around with the manufacturers warranty.

I'm not sure on this one though. I'm not sure there's any way to find out other than reading through all your warranty docs though. It's not like there's some standard here that you can refer to.
