look behind the wheel, unplug sensor, unscrew (1 bolt) sensor, pull off.... replace, reverse steps.

behind the wheel = behind the brakes, on the back side of the spindle.

1. Jack up car. Take off wheel.
2. Take off brake caliper. Take off rotor. Do not let caliper hang by hose!
3. Find sensor on knuckle, side closer to the back of the car.
4. Remove one bolt from back side of sensor. Unplug sensor.
5. Use a punch or screwdriver and push sensor out, there's a hole on the front side of the knuckle about 1/4" diameter.
6. Put new sensor in place, you'll see once you have the old one out.
7. Put screw back in, plug wires back in.
8. Put rotor and caliper back on.
9. Put wheel back on, lower car.

you DO know the rotor and caliper dont have a need to be removed right? simply turn the wheel to where the rear of the front wheels are farthest out.

its a 2 min if that job to get the sensor off...

That's true that they don't need to be removed, unless you want to use something to push the sensor out. And in my experience, it takes much less time to take the caliper and rotor off than it does to get that damn sensor out of the knuckle the other way. But yeah, if you don't have an 3/8 allen, or don't want to remove the caliper then you can skip that part.

i changed out the front wheel speed sensor and this is how i did it:

1. jack up car put jack stands
2. remove wheel
3. with a brush remove dirty and crap
4. remove electrical clip off sensor
5. remove bolt
6. with a flat head screw driver pry it out pressing in several areas to even out the removal and not cracking the sensor
7. take new sensor and with some mulit purpose lubricant give a little to the sensor where it will go in the hole. This will help it slide in if not it will be hard to get in
8. with the lubricate and pressing it will still be hard, this part I ended up dong slight taps with a hammer until it finally went in flushed.
9. put bolt on back
10. connect wire clip
11. install wheel
12. lower car
13. I disconnected the battery for a few mins and the started the car and test drove.

could but there a little hole in the spindle the you take a small screwdriver and tap it out sometimes there a prick to come out and if you break the plastic off in the hole hte new one wont go in

if you are worried about doin this then you should be afraid of starting your car in the morning
