Something's not right....
Sunday, August 02, 2009 12:18 PM
So I was installing my D-Specs/Sportlines/OEM strut mounts and something just doesn't seem right.
So... here is how it went:

Start:
Top rubber seat:
Isolator:
Rotational Bearing:
OEM Plate:
Strut Mount:

So the reason why it doesnt seem right is because the OEM plate seems to sit nicely in the isolator, which would then keep everything nice and lined up. But if I put the bearing in, then the OEM plate doesn't sit in that grove and theres no way for anything to stay aligned. As I was posting this I got to thinking that maybe OEM's plate is a bearing, and that I do not need the Rotational bearing...perhaps? Any adivce would be nice. Oh ya btw....I find that If I keep the little cup like thing that holds the dustboot and bumpstop then the OEM Plate and OEM mount dont have enough threads to catch, so I took it off, but I 'd like to keep the bumpstop and dust boot...would just sliding it over the strut even do anything?
