Baer 12" Setup on z24 Rims?

If anyone has a 12" brake kit on 16" rims, please post me a picture. I am buying some z24 rims and I'd like to make sure the brake kit I'm ordering will fit the rims.

i thought about this too, but after consulting karo he said he knew someone who tried, but it didn't work. he said the caliper is too big and hits the wheel (not just height wise, but facewise).

I have the 12" template sitting in my car, I was planning on testing the template on my '96GT rims anyway, I'll let you know.

If they hit the face as Viper mentioned then even if they fit those GT wheels they may still have an issue with the Z24 wheels depending on the shape.

Best bet is to get the template and try them on exactly the wheels you want to use.

Baer 12" Rear disc conversion kit from RKSport fits perfectly on factory Chromed 16" Z24 or LS Sport wheels. There is about 1/2" clearance but be careful with ebrake handle because mine got loose and I'm still have the problem unsolved. The kit looks and works awesome.

GT and Z wheels should be similar, but not exact. as for the rear fitting, i saw that yes the rear 12" will fit, but the front 12" wont, but im curious to see what the template yields

What issues are you having? Do you have the spring installed and compressed properly on the cable?

Did you know that you have to press the brake pedal firmly before pulling up the ebrake handle in order to set it?

Wild Weasel:
Thanks for your interest. Yes I did set the spring accordingly. I read all your instructions and followed them all. My problem is that in the brake handle the cable became to tight and got beyond the engaging teeth. Now if I release the brake handle all the way down the cable pulls the teeth too much and disengage it so, when I pull the handle back it doesn't pull the cable. Also, trying to fix it, I got the handle spring(pressure spiral)loose so the automatic adjustment mechanism is not working either. I will work on that later because now I have no time but any help you can give me will be extremely appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
