That's funny.. The tire's overall diameter is still the same, regardless of the rims..(unless you put like 215/80's on it..LOL) Do what volumeking suggested..

David, did you make sure you have them set so they are all the way down? What brand are they? Where did you get them from?

Most of the cheep sets come with a top hat for each spring. ANd many people who use these sets put the hats on in the back. You dont need those if you do in fact have them.

ANd um like already mentioned some more info would be nice.

i bought them off of the org. I'm not exactly sure what brand they are. Yes it came with the top hat and the bottom plate. So your saying i don't need the top hat in the car at all or just in the rearend coilover. They are adjusted all the way down right now

Well what color are they? I can narrow it down pretty far from just that! Yellow? Silver? Candy Apple Red? Silver with RED accents?

Up front you DO need the top hat.
Out back you dont.
THat will get you down alot lower out back.

More accurately, in the front you need a top hat and bearing assembly which will mate properly with the mounts so they can turn freely.

Most of those cheap kits don't come with any such thing.

what if i put the springs in upside down would that make it look like i didn't lower it also

No, putting the spring in upside down won't make a difference. Most coilovers use linear rated springs so there is no upside down. If they didn't have anything written on them, you'd never know which side was up and it wouldn't make any difference.

I recommend tossing them out and buying a set that's actually made for your car.

David those coilovers are made to fit a bunch of dif cars. They are not in fact specificly made for a J-body car.

If they were made for your car and your car alone they would actualy fit right and you wouldnt have made this post.

Not trying to be a jerk. BUt its the truth. Ive been in this J-body game for 5 years now and have seen the good and the bad. You my friend have the bad.

That's what I meant. Even though they pretend they're for your car, they're not actually designed for it. As far as I am aware, the only sleeve kits available that are engineered for our cars are the Ground Control kit and the RK Sport kit.

Yes, This is very true. Mine are the cheap ones and they don't fit my car right at all. Actualy they damaged the cup on top of the suspension because when the car hits a hard bounce the car actualy leaves contact witht he spring and slams back down on it. Not a kewl thing. and it doesn't take much to make it do this. Going over rail road tracks can kill it. I am probably gonna switch out to a full coilover kit with the coils and struts all in one.

Does anyone have any experience with the RK sport kit? is it a good purchase worth the time? Or should I just continue to save up for my air ride like I origanaly was going to be doing for the adjustability?
