When you hit 60,000 miles did your "Service" light come on? I am not talking about the "Check Engine Light" I am talking about the "Service" light with the wrench uner it. I have been told that this light come on at 60,000 to remind you to do your maintenance.
Thanks <br>

Mine just hit 60k, no service light, although I do have a MIL, but only because my EVAP is bad, and has been for about 8k now...

My service wrench light only comes on when I flash the highbeams 10 times to disable the daytime running lights.

How many knew you could disable the daytime running lights by flashing your highbeams 10 timees? Ahhh, you guys are pretty smart, im sure a bunch of you knew that.

I know that, but it doesn't work on my 2001 cavalier, and I know it works on others, so I guess I don't know what's the deal with that one... <br>

you dont have to hit the brights 10 times unless you want to blow your bulbs. on My 96 Z 5spd all you have to do is apply the ebrake and it will disable the daytime running lights.

Same effect as putting an auto in park. It's programmed into the ECU to mean that the e-brake being in means the car is parked.

But, a wrench light? When did they start this? The only wrench light i've ever seen is when screwing up one of the electric forklifts at work.

. Your a tool. Thats awesome.

As for the DRLs. I have a switch for that. Thanks TFM.

Anyways, it's there to remind you to service your car. Just another dummy light. <br>

i had the same code. <br>

Yeah, I need to try replacing it, because I know I tighten it when I fill it with gas. I've cleared the code about 10 times now, so either my gas cap is bad, or some part of my EVAP needs to be replaced.

My 2003 has the wrench light, so I guess they started putting in in during the 2000 redesign of the dash. And E-braked doesn't work on the newer ones, unless you want to hear a buzzer because you forgot to undo the E-brake. <br>

I have a 2000 SF and my dash has both a Wrench and an Engine Icon light. My Engine icon has been on for awhile, came on at around 60-65K, must just be a sensor or something, have 82k on it, still works awesome. The tether on my gas cap is broke off, but that shouldn't be a problem...
