There isn't any release that i can find. How can i get them out of the seats without messing anything up? Thanx for any help

No head rests? As in, they'd been removed??? Odd...

There's a little metal wire/clip thing that holds the headrest in... it's on the right side of the headrest bars. You have to jam some sort of thin metal piece down there to move it out of the way. A buddy of mine used a cut up beer can to get mine off... I've never been able to do it properly

^ thats because you're not supposed to do it that way.

unzip the fabric from behind the seat, and at the top you will find two white plastic things that hold in the metal bars for the headrest. in there, you will find a c clip in each one. take those out, and then push together the white plastic to slide it out.

When I get home, I'll take a picture of the GM service manual that says to do it that way

just pulled mine the other day, their a bitch, I released the bottom of the seat folded it up and pushed the clips of and popped them out, I wasted about an hour trying to cheat and not undo the seat, but it was easier to do it right.

ok so basically to remove it, you stick a little metal thing in there to pop the clip out, instead of doing it from behind. thats cool, but there's one problem, to REINSTALL the clip, you'd hafta do it from the inside anyway. that sounds just stupid LOL

Its a pretty simple mod to do. Just go to an upploster shop ask. Thats what I did. The guy was kool and showed me how to take one out and I did the other free of charge.
1. Pull the seat up.
2. Flip the seat forward.
3. There is a butterfly clip.
4. Undo that.
5. Reach up in to the back of the seat.
6. Feel the polls of the head rest.
7. Find the clips and squeeze on both of the clips on each poll one at a time. There is no way you could do both at the same time.
8. Pull up on the head rest and your done.
Oh and put everything back. LOL Kind of funny your asking this. It was the first mod that I did. But I just wanted the stupid seat belt holders off. I put the head rest back on. Good Luck.
