Ha Ha, that is funny, everything is built at GM, so here in America, you have to go to GM and get the parts

Heh.. by that logic, you can't remove the 2000+ radio or your airbags won't work either ... but we all know that's not true!

Here's the deal... for those of you not versed in it...

Toyota Cavaliers were made by GM, at the Lordstown Assembly plant, next to the regular Chevy Cavaliers and Pontiac Sunfires. There is no Lexus Sunfire, sorry.

All the parts for those Toyota Cavaliers were made by GM's suppliers, with the exception of the folding mirrors. Those were made by Toyota. Check the bottom of any Toyota Cavalier mirror and you'll find Japanese writing. In any case, all the parts that were available on the Toyota Cavalier are available from ANY GM dealer, including www.gmpartsdirect.com. The trick is knowing the part number, because the numbers aren't in their searchable catalog. Oh yes.. and brand new OEM parts are REALLY expensive.. don't say I didn't warn you

All you need is a friend in Japan to get you numbers... or a copy of the list here on JBO... or a copy of the Toyota Cavalier parts book (which has EVERY number, for EVERY part).

um if anyone would like part numbers, just send me an e-mail. I've got pretty much whatever you could possibly want. If you are wanting a set of Toyota Tails... just buy them for $200 off ebay. They cause roughly $85 PER PIECE (there are 4 pieces kids) on gmpartsdirect and if you order them straight from the stealership, they are over $130 per piece. So like I said... if you're looking for something, including the TRD parts from Japan that you can't find or order here from the states, let me know.
