2.0 cobalt engine in an 01 cavy
Monday, May 16, 2005 9:47 PM
i was wondering if anyone had ever thought about puting a 2.0 turbo charged cobalt engine in a cavy. If so would it fit? I have an 01 cavy with a 2.4 in it now...would it even be worth the time of changing it out just for the turbo?...

well if you have a 2.4 get the gm charger it runs the same hp as a ss colbalt as far as fittment it should go with some mod to engine bay

It would be alot cheaper to just to get a turbo put in your car! I know of two places that will put a turbo in and one will flash you computer. SO you get the full power and speed out of your car.

Yeah that would probably the cheapest and easiest thing to do. Pretty much same HP as the SS.

if u keep the 2.4 supercharge it if you get an eco turbo the hell out of it they love turbo better plus with rods added to an eco you can get up to 400hp with lil probs

I was always told if u gonna do it ,do the damn thang no half a$$'n'

I believe you'll gain more power supercharging your 2.4 than putting in a 2.0 s/c motor. If your running high miles, than I understand why you don't want to. The swap would probably be a little difficult cause you have to use the cobalts computer also.
