Weird thing is happening when I changed my oil to Royal Purple (5W30).

I have an oil pressure guage (Autometer electric) and when the car is warming up at idle it reads about 40-50psi, as the car getsheated up to the point the fan kicks on, my oil pressure on the guage reads super-low at 2-5psi.

That normal?

I did not notice it till I did the oil change BUT I also did replace the oil pressure switch a couple months ago...

Oh other thing is I also have an oil cooler installed on this car. (Cooltek)

does your idiot light come on, if your oil pressher was that low your light would come one, lifters would colaps and your timing chain tenshoner wouldent work.

I dont think its on.

No, the idiot light isn't on so it is maybe one of 2 things I am thinking. Either the Autometer guage is not working properly or the actual Autometer sensor itself then?
