Timing chain not broken
Tuesday, June 14, 2005 5:16 PM
Well before my father in law said my timing chain broke. He was tearing it apart today and found out the chain wasn't broke. I haven't talked ot him but my wife said he thinks it's a sensor. Any feed back?

Some info about whats going on would help.

Normally your car wouldn't run at all (and make some TERRIBLE noises just trying to turn it over).

yeah I know but I don't have much more info than that. Wish I did. If my chain is stretched then that's ok cause my chain and all the tensioners are getting replaced anyways!

Mine was getting good spark and fuel. Compression was good also. I tore into it and the tensioner was OK. The chain had stretched slightly.
