ok so i'm looking at new cars and one of my options is going to be a newer cavy so heres my dumb question. its embarassing seeing as i've been in the j seen since 01 but the past two years i've been pretty inactive. ok, here goes...am i correct in assuming that ALL 2004 cavalier COUPES came with the same 2.2l ECO??? theres no difference in the actual powertrain its all just exterior options etc right? let me know because i found an 04 cavy 5spd and all it says on the internet is 2.2l and i sure as hell dont want to be stuck with one of those again. thanks in advance

yeah i just called the dealership and they still have it on the lot so i think i'm going either tonight or tomorrow to take a look at it...who knows maybe come monday i'll have a new un-slow car!

That Cav likes pretty clean. Did they say whether is was an LS or not. If it is not an LS, I wouldn't give that much for it. It has quite a few miles for one year old. If it is an LS, negotiate with them a little, you should be able to talk them down on a used car. Also look at the car in person and the go to kbb.com or nada.com and see the price yourself.

yeah it was a rental which explains all the miles but its also got a lien record so who knows....i drove it and it was WAY quicker than my fire. the dealer said he'd give it to me for 9800 including tax and all that crap so i really dont know at this point. my only qualm is the high miles but the car is still perfect inside and out. so, lets here some more opinions guys

well, thnk about it, if YOU had a rental car what would you do with it? cause i know what my bud does with em, and it aint pretty...but this ones still relitivly low miles, and its newer, so maybe it hasnt had the living shat beat outta it quite yet, if you get it a start babyinh it, youll prob get a bit out of it...

well i think i decided against this car...the rental things been bothering me a bit so i'm going back tomorrow to take a look at a sunburst orange cav they've got with the optional appearance package. its a bit more pricey but i'll see what i can do about that. its got less miles and was never a rental lol so thats a good start. thanks for all your comments and suggestions guys, i'll keep you updated
