2002 Sunfire SE, What Airbags fit? PLEASE HELP!
Sunday, June 26, 2005 7:52 PM
Hello all, title says it all. I picked up a 2002 sunfire SE with 25K on it. Needs airbags, and im trying to determine the interchange for the airbags. ANY and all help would be greatly appreciated. From looking, the 95s look as though they would fit, but I dont want to assume and end up with a whole parts car that doesnt interchange with the 92. (airbag wise)
Thanks!
Kevin

Any bags will FIT, but what will work.. that's another question. The steering wheel bag is the same 00-02. The passenger bag is the same 00-02, possibly all the way to 05 as well...

95 bags are unique.. DERM instead of an SDM. 96-99 pretty much all the same... 00 uses a unique SDM module.. which is 2000 only. 01 & 02 use the same SDM. 03-05 SDM is the same.

So.. 00-02 bags, 01 or 02 SDM.

You should get a "racing" steering wheel, b/c the seat belts will work fine b/c you can't go fast enough for you to worry about needing air bags...... watch out 106mph is sick...lol if you take off your govenor then maybe you would need air bags

SRT-4 - 13.73@104.63mph
