I gotz a 96' 2.2, about 220,000 mi. Camshaft prob's. anyways,

might be swap time so Im looking into a either ECOTEC 2.0L supercharged.
or the N/A ECOTEC 2.2L

has anyone here swap'd a ecotec into their 3rd gen? I take it everyones jumping on the 2.4 turbo? bolts to stock tranny aftermarket re-built engine's Any input will be helpfull thanks.

Anyway, just search for ECOTEC swap. Here's the first thread I found when I searched... http://www.j-body.org/forums/read.php?f=2&i=239259&t=239259 Good luck on your swap.

The 2.0 S/C will not bolt to the 2.4L or 2.2 Non-Eco tranny.

How hard is say an ECOTEC swap for a 2002 with the 2200? most things seem to be about the same, ie exhaust, tranny (5spd Getrag) and air filter say the least, but what about the wiring, I assume the PCM's would have to be swapped, but is the wiring as simple as unplugging one, and plugging in another?
