Hopefully, ill be getting a new J on Friday, giving my 94 Sunbird to my dad, and getting a 2002 Cav 5spd, nothing too special, its got the 2200 engine etc, and was wondering where to start on "mods" ie who makes the best CAI and Headers/Exhaust for the 3rd Gen's especially that motor.

another silly question, do they come with Cruise Control? Other than lack of power windows/locks, the Cav doesnt seem to have all the nicer things that the Sunbird does have, ie power windows/locks, ABS, Cruise etc, but wasnt sure what the base Cavalier came with, i do know the one im looking into getting has ABS and manual door locks and windows, but it does have A/C which doesnt work on the 'Bird.

It depends how it was ordered. I had a '99 base model coupe with the "2200" and it did not have cruise control. LS models and Z/24's probably all had cruise control.

I heard that!
I've actually started using mine a lot more lately, to keep my speed about 5 mph over the limit, since I was pulled over for 83 in a 55 a couple months ago.

I should also add, you should love the car. A few years back, I went from a '90 2.2 OHV 3 speed auto 4 door sedan to a brand new '99 2.2(2200) OHV 3 speed auto base coupe. It was like night and day, except I still would have liked a 4 speed auto or a 5 speed manual for highway trips.

Mine is a cavalier LS and it has everything minus the sunroof. Good luck

No cruse. If it has cruse control the blinker lever would have a button at the end of it.

Honestly, if it has the 2200, chances are that it's a LSV model
