Ok so I'm sure many of you will be like search this shiz yo... but the is is I have but not enough to make sure on everything
So I'm taking out my 97 sunfires 2.2 and manual tranny to be replaced with a 2.4 with manual tranny....
I sorta need to know what else im going to need to get...
These are the thing i know i will need
wiring harness
computer
engine and tranny (duh)
So maybe someone knows or has a few things to add it be a big help thanks ...

really you need to change the cluster
On your year, I belive so. I know if you swap clusters you have to find one with the same engine and year so I guessing that if your swapping engines your gonna have to do the same.
Engine mounts will prob be the same, they were the same for me, went from a 99 2.2 to a 97 2.4. both manual trans, all the mounts were exactly the same. if you got any ques, email me. Egl93Talon@hotmail.com
how long did it take and would you consider it hard
just search, i know this list has been posted several times in this forum
it took one day, with me and one other guy to pull the 2200 and put the 2.4 in, not hard, but kinda time consuming sometimes....
you also need a different power steering pump and pressure and return line for it also, the 2.4 litre had it mounted on the back of the motor , it is above where the transmission bolt up on the motor.
r these suggestions the same for swapping out my 95 2.2 with a 2002 2.4. just wondering cuz i have everything. would i need to switch out the power steering pump too?
what did you do for the fuel lines to the fuel rail?
also where is a good place to get a wiring harness
Quick question, do you have to switch your master cylinder if you switch from a 97 2.2L motor to a 01 2.4L motor? The master cylinders are different, well they look different anyway. Thanks.

Does anybody know if im changing from a 2.2 auto to a 2.4 auto if the shifter cables are the same? Or do I need to change those as well?
