I have been digging through the archives and have found alot of great information regarding how to do the various engine swaps(2.3ho, 3400, 3800 s/c), but can only find pieces of information regarding total cost . Can anyone give me an idea of what some of these swaps cost in usd? I have to put a new engine in anyway and am considering going one of those routes and was hoping for a little info about the prices. Thanx in advance.

well its not in USD but here in canada(montreal) I found a place that does the 3.8S/C swap into a 3rd gen on a monthly basis..they charge around 6,000CND. Cost varies +/- depending on if you want manual or auto
i hit a currency converter on the web....thats about $5000 usd...thats labor only? or does that include some of the custom parts? thanx for your help.

I have no clue bout the states. I know of 2 ppl that have done the swap, and both are in canada(guy from montreal and Raven). I'm sure theres ppl in the states that have done the swap but don't know them by names. Just do a search of the members
i believe Meckster did the 3800s/c swap also. he is located in PA

hey edgez24 do u have any info on that shop.
most shops charge by hour i belive.....
id say get a phone book or online and call them all with exactly what you want in mind
