i wasn't sure where to post this..
my brother has a 1995 base 2.2 4 cyl Cavy... just recently his speedometer just stopped working... he didn't touch anything or change anything...the needle just sits all the way down to left... the Fuel and Temp gauges do still work though... if anyone has any ideas please let me know.. thanks in adv.
ok, thanks now if that is bad... about how much would a new one go for? also how hard is it to put in a new new?
well there are a few test too run before you throw a new sensor on unless you have a known good sensor laying around which most people dont,but a new one could cost 120.00( dealer price) give or take. If you know someone who works at a dealer they can get a better deal. Try a part store they should have it mabey a little cheaper.
You need to check all wires first,also are there any trouble codes, ( engine light).
Always fix the hard codes first. Hard code is a code that makes the engine light come on as soon as the problem occurs.
