car sputtering? trac off light on? get the fix....

hey now this problem has happened to me numerous times on my 2.4 for what reason i have no idea. My car would start sputtering/cutting out and when you floored it it would have NO power and my trac off and check engine light would come on. some say its "bad " gas and to use dry gas, injector cleaner or change the spark plugs or oil and fuel filter. Well they dont work, not in my case anyway. All you/i do is disconnect the negative wire (black) on the battery which will reset your radio and other settings and disconnect the 2 plugs on the computer and plug them back in and then re-connect the negative wire and start the engine, after this the trac off and check engine light should be off and things should be good to go. This has happened many times for me and im trying to save you guys/ladies some cash because i took it to a shop the first time and they changed buncha crap that didnt need changed so try this.

WTF?

You floor it... tires spin... computer sees tires spinning (loss of traction) and bogs the motor.

That's how it's supposed to work!!! Read your owners manual...

no you moron, this is a fix for when the traction is on at all times for NO REASON, this happened to me numerous times just going down the road cruising at 50 and about the tires spinning when you floor it, that only happens when the car goes through puddles or a slippery surface, the traction isnt going to go on just because your going 50mph and floor it.

First off, lenko is far from a moron....second, it could be any number of things, my car was doing the same thing, and it was my ignition module, replaced that, and all was good.

you needed to include in your first post that the lights were on "all the time". when someone doesn't have all the facts it real hard to know what your problem is. BTW you don't have to disconnect the cables going to your computer, just the battery.
