Parts for my Daughter's Car 2000 Cavalier 4d auto

Hello, I need some advice about what model type and years I can get parts off from for my daughter's car. I was told I by a mechanic I wouldn't be able to use a 99 or older cars part for the mechanical parts. I know the bumper cover must be 2000-02 and the hood and feners can be 95-02. What about the Windshild? and Air bags? Can I use a 1995 2dr Sunfire for the Bumper Assembly and radiator/condenser? But what about the other parts that are located under the exterior body parts? As you can see there is alot of damage, but nothing major. I haven't been able to find any salvaged 00-02 cavalier or sunfires. The car only has 25k miles and with the CNG conversion the fuel is only $.89/gal to drive so it's worth the trouble. Any advice would be welcomed, thanks, Wes

This is correct. The 99's use a slightly different engine.

Actually, you can broaden that range a bit in case those cars are hard to find in your area.

From 95-05, the fenders are the same. The only major difference is there may be a tab that can be cut off safely for fitment.

The hood/bumper cover/headlights will all interchange, you will need to get "phase specific" parts for the interchange --

Same for all years

Possibly.

Wrecked cars are plenty. Every junk yard has J cars.

Bifuel is very rare though!

Windshield is the same, but the airbags are not. 2000 is a very specific year, and ONLY the 2000 module will work.
