I have been told that the 95 Malibu side engine mount is a direct bolt in. Now I have seen some people say they have used this, but I cant remember who. Could you please post pics of it installed because for some reason, every 3100/3400 mount i try does not line up with the studs on the j-body. Thanx alot in advance.

I think but am not sure, the L67 is a supercharged 3800, a 90* V6, and the 2.8/3.1/3100/3400 are 60* V6's, so the mount probably wont work.

Here are the answers:

A) The mount will not work with the 3800's

B)The only piece you need to make the mount from the 94-97 Grand Am work on a newer engine (this is assuming you have the narrow accessory belt setup like the Alero, Grand Am, Achieva, etc), is the "Y" Bracket that goes on the front of the timing cover. This will run you about $75-80 at the dealership, and if you can find a salvage yard that will sell one off the engine, maybe $25-30. I used this on my swap, and with these two pieces, the engine will bolt right into the factory upper motor bracket on the J-Body. The nice thing about using this mount is that you can still use the eurethane upper mount inserts on them if you want.

I haighly doubt that will work for the 3800. Your belts are right there and there would be no where to bolt to the engine.
