Brackets for neons in footwell
Tuesday, November 08, 2005 12:20 PM
Hi, I'm planning on buying some neons to go in the footwells of my car. I've found plenty of brackets and screws in the drivers' side, but am not sure where I can attach the tubes in the passenger side footwell. Can anyone else who's done this help me out, preferably with close-up pictures? Thanks.

And if you are about to flame me for putting neons in my car, don't.

i put it right behind the glovebox hinge and u cant see the bulb at all, and it lights up the whole foot area and then some, i love it

I went to home-de-pot and picked up some 1x1 aluminum L stock and panted the outside of the L flat black. On the inside i polished the hell out of them and mounted the neons on the polished side and put them under my dash on both sides.

my zip ties broke a few times so i used small radiator clamps around the tubes and screwed them under the dash. i also put some rubber between the clamps and the tubes so that the tubes wouldnt get scratched or rattle

that's a pretty personal question

zip ties are awesome, I need to get some more, you can pick them up at the dollar store a pack with 3 sizes. They work for a lot of stuff. A guy I autocross withs bimmers bumper was starting to come off because he lost a bolt. 2 zip ties later it was just like new
