i have a 1999 with 149,335 my tennsior pully just went bad i think it was the bearings or a bad belt that caused it to become bent
Mine was written off at around 280,000km. It would have easily made 300,000 the way it was running,but now we'll never know.
2000 2.2 5 speed, 34,000 miles
2000, 2.2, auto, 36,000 miles
my 95 LS coupes got 123,000 miles on it... had to replace the tranny, clutch, and flywheel this last summer...

when i bought my 1997 sunfire 2.2 it had 10000 miles on it but now it haves 122500 on it.

1995 cavalier now with 134,000 miles on it and still running
2002 2.2L 76,800 miles on it, replaced blower motor, replaced alternator, replaced water pump and still runs great.....have done all regular maint.
2000 2.2 auto, has 93,000 miles on it. The timing chain retensor thing went bad, made the chain slap around in the engine, had to have it replaced. The used car dealership paid for it all, since I bought it from him 5 days before it happened. Other than that, no real problems.
i had 20 000km on it and it was the last time i buy a 2.2L OHV, AMEN to Ecotec...
I dont have a damn problem with it for now.

Mines a '96 with 99,000 and change miles on it. Runs great, no serious problems but the previous owner destroyed the trans, that was rebuilt at 84,000
Nothing Ventured, Nothing Gained
1996 2.2L Auto, 126,000 miles on it. Was running great and had done regular maint on it. Then the other day it up and decided to quit firing, engine turns, but plugs or nothing is getting fire.

Have a 2000 with 166000 on it as of today. Only had to replace the A/C compresser at 102000.
1996 Cavi Coupe- ~160,000 miles
2000 Cavi Coupe- ~50,100 miles
It's a four banger, you gotta bang it four times to get it goin'....
2002 5spd - 193 000kms on it. Not a problem yet, replaced the regular stuff, spark-plugs, fuel filter.
My old 95 had 242 000 before things started going wrong so I am watching out for this one.
Now up to 112,7xxx miles on my 2001 2.2 Sunfire.
Update again....
up to 85, almost 86 thousand miles on it.....no problems since the alternator over a year ago
'99 Fire 2200 Auto 3 speed just hit 101,500 miles. Replaced the alternator so far. That's all.
sold my 98 RS with a 5-speed at 155,000 and was still going strong. My 95 z24 with a 5-speed has 101,000 and not a glitch.
