2200 ohv. what does it hit rev limiter at it seems to be like 5800 or a tad more. what would be a safe rev limit on stock internals? and how would i go about changing it? thanks

unless you have head and lifter work done i would just never mention this topic again

my 3800SC has the same rev limiter and when i hooked HP tuners on i left it there i moved speed limiter as i would come close to hiting it on the 1/4 mile

if you rev an OHV engine out much past that you will get valve float. when i race my car i never go over 5600 but thats more for power but i wouldn't think of doin this mod without mechanical work being done first

My 3400 does what I believe is valve float around 6000rpm til rev limit. So i just turned the rev limit back to 5900.

What your rev limiter is set at depends on a number of things.
