Hello my name is ricky im new to this site ,
and im asking for your help i have a 97 cavalier with bad 2.2L motor ,
i have an 2000 cavalier 2.2L but it was on a collision ,but the motor still runs i
was wondering if i put the 2000 cavalier2.2L motor on my 97 cavalier will it work , or do i have
to Transfer all the wire and the computer too?

I believe you will need to swap the wiring harness and ecu aswell

i just swaped a 97 motor to an 02 both non eco and it was the biggest pain. you have to swap the harness's plus make sure the 2000 dosnt have a bcm because the 97 dosn't which means you have to swap the das harness to make it work its not easy because you also have to swap the master cyclender along with the head light harness to. but it can be done
