Misfire in cylinder 1 help

Okay my Ecotec has a misfire in cylinder 1 code along with a code for a bad oxygen sensor ( post ) Can you guys tell me what might be causing this and what can I do to fix this before inspection. The Guy i bought it from claims it is a crate gm engine and transmission with new plugs. .... can anybody help

well, you need to troubleshoot.

1. do you have spark?
2. do you have fuel?
3. do you have compression?


reply with which one of these you DON'T have, and we'll be able to help better.

little tricky to get a spark tester on the eco, lol. Compression, I believe, would be the easiest to test first, unless of coarse, you have access to a GM noid light.
