12's with N20 on stock internals?
Saturday, May 14, 2005 9:38 AM
Has anybody done that yet? I think I just might break that barrier this year so I'm stoked that there is a possibility I may be the first one to do it. I've been here for 3 years now and haven't heard of anyone else doing it, and the only other stock internaled J-body I've heard of that went 12's was on boost and had cams anyway. If you know of anyone who did it already, let me know about it!

Been here a few years and never seen it. Thats good times on stock internals. I dont think i've seen anyone hit 12's on stock internals. Brandson probably was but I dont think he ever had trakc times.

Are you sure? He told me his best was a 13.6, and that was the run where he caught on fire. If you can find the thread where he posted that, please link me!!!!!!!

I always claimed I never ran my car with all the mods before I starte dunmodding it... I lied I ran it with- intake, TB, cams, header, cutout at the end of the header with the full exhaust 2.25 inch with high flow cat, trans mounts, motor mounts, my buddies 14 or 15 (I forgot) inch wheels with his drag radials, about 20-21 psi in the tires, the rear of my car set the coilovers all the way up, the front as low as possible, the strut bars, underdrive pulley, took out the stereo and minor wieght reduction, a-arm bushings, some other crap I'm forgeting, autolite 103's 104? ocatne (maybe it was 100), ran a bottle heater so around 1050 bottle psi, and ran a 100 wet shot for 4 runs humidity was very low temp was cool but not cold... first run spun and went up in smoke just cruised the rest of the way, second run pulled a 13.08 @ around 105-106 3rd run went up in smoke again pulled a 14.4 4th and final run ran a 13.12 again around 106.... I wanted to disable the governer and go back cause I was starting to let off right at the end to avoid hitting the governer but never got a chance to make it back to the track with disabled governer before I started getting rid of some performance stuff. I never bothered to post cause I was trying to break 12's before bragging hahaha I got close but never actually hit it, now my car wont even chirp 2nd with no nitrous because of 18's + a weak ass abused stock clutch. I have all 4 runs on video, well I don't have the video my buddy does, I'll see what I can do about getting it and I'll post it up.

Umm! AND WHY HAVE YOU NOT TOLD US THIS DARKSTARS! haha!

This is a good thread! Some others on here have secret times they want to share? And nitro you already know I love how your ar is turning out. Stock as all hell on the outside and doing big things under the engine! I want to see you do some runs with some bolt-ons, LSD, and slicks! (guess you would need a better axle too eh?)

N2O + Bolt-ons = 220Hp/250Tq

Coming Soon:HpTunersPro, EagleConnectingRods, WiescoPistons, 13sec2200

Don't need an LSD, I always burn both, even with 290 ft lbs of torque to play with. But I should probably get an adjustable FPR and headers and redo my 59mm tb to throw back on.

we brought with an emergency air tank kinda thing for putting air in tires that go flat on the side of the road, after each run I poulled the intake and blew out the manifold with compressed air to make sure fuel wouldn't sit there building up, it was scary though, running that fast and knowing what GM lost an engine to I was getting worried hahah but it held for 4 runs with no damage, I never used the 100 after that though, I kept it at 75 most of the time

yeah -- I want to do it but I dunno if the consequences are worth it

thats part of the reason I never got aorund to going back with the governor disabled... I wanted a 12 second time slip which I think I could have gotten but I NEED a working car hahah

I ran a 100 Dry shot on my 2200. 2 runs and it held up. Blew up later that night with a 50 shot in go figure.

I went to Rick kings house back in December to pick up his car ( ), and he told me and my friend then he did hit 12's on the factory motor with a 125 shot. Like a 12.8. I think he said 105, or 106 mph. That motor had over 900 passes with nitrous. It later went and he then built it, and had his fire.

Well, I've already trapped 105 with the 100 shot, So I just have to hook up I guess. I'll be running better than that before too long though.

Are you running slicks? Did you put the car on a diet?

BFG Drag radials. And I removed the spare, jack, and passenger seats. I need to air those DR's down some more though.
