I thought you weren't suppost to put direct port on the stock intake. But I might be wrong. What kit do you have? Did it come with instructions. Don't forget to disconnect the battery first.

Um I havent heard anything about not putting it on the stock manifold. Ive actually heard the stock one is very think and would work fine with it. Um im using a NX import efi single fogger kit and have the stuff to convert it over to direct port( thanks Karo). No it didnt come with instructions but it doesnt seem like rocket science. Just put a fogger in each runner and run the lines to the dist. block and then to the solinoids. Later

but awesome work man

nice what kind of shot do you plan on running there?

Re: Eco Direct Port

Sorry that the pics are so big!!!
Um I am running a 75 shot. Ive got some probs listed at the bottom of the page if anyone can help me out on those i would appreciate it.

Removed Intake Manifold

Me drilling the holes for the nozzles

All 4 nozzles installed

Close up of the inside of the number 1 runner with nozzle installed

And finally pics of the slicks after I painted the rims black

I took the car out for a test spin today with the new setup and had a few problems. Any one have any ideas i would appreciate it. First off when the rpms would hit 3k where the window switch kicks in it seemed like it was getting alot of gas and would fall on its face. Then you could feel the nitrous kick in. My guess is maybe the bottle is getting low. But the one i cant figure out is after i let off and quit spraying the rpms still climb like its getting the rest out of the line and if i dont rev it up a little bit the car will die. I have no idea about this. Im running a 75 shot. My car never did either of these with a single fogger 75 shot. Lets hear your ideas guys. Ask your buddy BadZ24 if he has ever heard of anything like this. Thanks Guys

i'm not sure about your questions man....

but you are gonna tear some @!#$ up with those slicks..... not good @!#$ either lol

Hey man, don't listen anyone about those slicks.
They are fine I just ran them, and made a post in the Racing Forum about them, I think they are great and everything I have is factory.

Heat them up once you PASS through the water box!! Don't sit in the box they will soak with water and give you a crappy 60 foot.
DON'T drop the clutch, feather it and punch it!! It will help a roll spin.

Another important thing, since the tire is a 22 inch it will throw off your speedo BAAAAD!!, you will top out 4th gear at 6200 rpm(well not top out but close) at 105 mph or so. The speedo is going to think that you are doing over 108 and enable the governor before you are acctually doing 108. lol

In the other words, just disconnect the VSS before you make any passes, and plug it back for the ride home because it does some weird crap if not plugged in.
I had best results running them at about 14-15 psi.
Good luck man.

PUT A PURGE ON THE LINE FROM THE BOTTLE you need to try and keep the fogger nozzle lines as short as possible. sounds like its a little rich? If you dont purge you will get fuel only till the gas works its way from bottle--Also check that your nitrous sol isnt leaking.

Re: Eco Direct Port

hey guys. yeah im sure the slicks will be fine and i know about the VSS. thanks for the heads up though. and yeah i never drop it. wheel hop scares me. haha. Um and yeah i have a purge. i think i figured out two of the problems. I think my bottle was getting low and thats why the start was lagging like it was running rich. so ill put a full bottle on there and see what it does. the other problem i think i figured out is that the rpms may not be goin up after i let off i think the slow factory tach just isnt caught up with the actual rpms yet. so im gonna borrow/buy an aftermarket one and see if that helps. the only problem left is that it is dieing if i dont keep reving it up but i have some ideas about that. i think im gonna shut off the arming switch before i finish the run or leave the car in gear instead of putting it in neutral at the end of the run and see if that will keep it running. i think after the shot and then just stoping instantly the computer cant react quick enough and is causing the car to quit. Ill let you know what happens the next time i try it out. It will probably be wed. or thurs. if not it wont be till after this weekend cause i have HIN to show at. Thanks for the replys guys and any more comments or ideas are very welcome. Later

disconnecting the VSS for any part of the run is a bad idea when you do that it will send the car into limp mode and you get misfires, a better way of getting around it is to get a speedometer calibration unit like alot of the aftermarket guages have and fool the computer into thinking its getting less pulses from the vss than it really is

Re: Eco Direct Port

So Rodimus, how do I do that, like solder a resistor into a VSS pulse wire??
Like what would trick it to think that it is going slower than it acctually is??
I had a run of a 13.89 @92 mph, and that was with the VSS plugged in I mean car ran strong.
Then I disconnected it and the best I ran was a 13.81 @104.2mph.I mean it is good but that run with the VSS ON just felt STRONGER!!

Should I mention that in the 1st run I hit the governor at like the 1000 ft mark, cause if a 22 inch slick I am running.
So what is this calibration kit or whatever and where can I get it??
I am willing to try it out.

alright im confused you ran a faster time with it unplugged but you say it felt stronger on your slower run? sorry i must just be misunderstanding. well i need to do something because with the smaller diameter drag slick the speedo will read that im goin alot faster than what i really am. on my street tires i was hitting 103 in the quarter. that was with the single fogger to. i cant have it getting up to 108 while im spraying thats not a good thing. but yeah a little more info on the resistor or the calibration unit would be a big help. thanks alot guys

are you sure your jetted right? what jets are you running anyhow?

It sounds like your a lil rich and its taking a sec to get the last of the fuel out. And you need a purge.

and as far as it reving up after, its posible you have enough line between the nozzles and the noids to do that.

goodluck and email me at badz24@gmail.com if you have any other questions

for the 75 shot i have a 24 nitrous and 14 fuel jet. i thought the fuel was to big because my fuel pressure runs at 59 psi but i called NX and thats the jet sizes they gave me to. I have a purge. the reving up i think is because the factory tach is to slow to keep up with the actual rpms while im spraying and it looks like it is reving up because the tach is just catching up. im not sure about this thou because i need to buy/borrow and aftermarket tach to check it out. i also think the bottle was low on nitrous which may explain the bogging when the nitrous kicks in. and when it quits i think is because while spraying its getting tons of air and then letting off so quickly the computer cannot keep up and re adjust itself back to idle and quits. i think if i just let off the pedal but dont take it out of gear it will fix that problem. ill let you guys know when i get a tach to test it out. its kinda scary cause the rpms climb so fast that it actually will go right past the rev limiter so i really need to get a new tach if that is the problem. thanks for the help

24 nitrous and 14 fuel?

thats a 100 shot not a 75

i beleave you need a .020 nitrous and a .011 to 12 for fuel

24 14 is a lil rich 25 shot, 4 25 shots is 100

be carefull!! the limits on the eco with nitrous are a very fine line.

yeah the fpr is hooked up to the intake stock so i hooked it up to the after market one. the intake manifold itself has alot more vacuum then the intake so i tried keeping it in the same place.

about the shot sizes that is exactly what i thought but i called NX and that is the sizes the gave me also. so can i use the single fogger calculator thats posted on here and just type in an 18.75 shot for the 75 and a 25 for the 100 and use those jet sizes? i think they are around a 22 and 10 for the 75 shot. is your eco run around 59 psi for fuel pressure? that is what mine runs at. thanks for all the help so far guys keep it coming

Hey guys. Got the tach installed and it solved the rpm problem."DuH" also fixed the problem where it quits when your done spraying, but this time i had a full bottle and 1200 psi and it still bogged a bit when the nitrous first hit like it is getting tons of gas and no nitrous for like a tenth of a second. hmm cant figure this one out. i ran a 13.7 but i think the car was running in limp mode because of how i fixed the speed limiter(which i will not mention). this caused the car to throw a code and my all motor times were sucking. thats why i think it was in limp mode. i need to figure out a way to get rid of the speed limiter without the CEL. If anyone has any ideas but doesnt want to post it, about the limiter, hit me up on AIM - Falloutboy or email me - falloutboy@insightbb.com. Thanks guys
