Ignition retard vs 65/75 shot?
Sunday, July 17, 2005 10:50 AM
Was wondering if there are people here that dont use ignition retard with 65/75 shot. I know that the nitrous manufacturers recomend but assuming runnig sunoco94, TR6 plugs, forged interanls stock compression, good fuel press., do you think detonation would occure using that size shot? Any help is apreciated.

You should be alright especialy with forged internals and if your fuel system is alright. Just make sure you use 93+ octane. If you want to be extra safe you could retard the timing, doubt if you need it though.

Do you have a wet system ? It is the way to go.
I currently run a 75 wet shot on 04 eco,no retard, stock internals,stock fuel system,93 octane and auto-lite plugs.
Runs great................................
