What kind of times do you run on nitrous?
Sunday, July 10, 2005 2:19 PM
Ive been looking at nitrous a lot lately, and i think im gonna go with the EFI kit. All i have now, is a cai, but i plan on having a 56mm tb, racing clutch, and a short shifter before i use the nitrous. What kind of times does everyone run with there setups, and please list all of your performance mods also, so i can get an idea of what i will be running.

I don't run slicks. But on cheap a$$ street tires, I ran a 13.7. On BFG Drag Radials I ran 13.3. I still have to work on launching with the DR's. I could probably cut that time down to a 13.1 or 13.0. And now that I have a header installed, I'll be hunting down 12's, still no slicks.

Again, if it's not in the reg, I don't have it, so no ignition retard for me. And I run 93 octane. Sometimes Sunoco 94

Shopping List -

Nitrous Works, ZEX, NOS or NX Wet Nitrous kit

Bottle Heater, Blow-off cap, Blowdown Tube and Nitrous Pressure Gauge

Then take your pick -

BFG G-Force Drag Radials
Mickey Thompson Drag Radials (235/60-15)
M&H Drag Radials (215/65-15 or 235/60-15)
Dunlop Inferno Drag Radials (205/50-15 only)

With proper alignment, suspension tuning, its not HARD to go fast. Just don't short change yourself.
