Exhaust and nitrous

I want to get nitous in my car and was wondering if i should go for a larger exhaust than normal or not. I'll probably go for a 35 or 50 shot. Right now, i'm thinking 2.25 inch. http://www.j-body.org/forums/read.php?f=50&i=20513&t=20513 I'm looking at that GP. Thanks for the help.

It is not needed, but every little thing will help.
Even if you do not decide to go Nitrous exhaust is a good upgrade....

Waste unless you get a header! But yes, a more open exhaust will help Hp wise. I've seen people get big Tq numbers on smaller piping such as stock, but i'd deffinately get a header no matter what.

Thanks for the replies... What i mean to ask is do i need a bigger exhaust just for the n2o? for example, people running boost usually do 2.5" or 3" and i was wondering if that size was necessary. Also, the link that i had in my original post is the full exhaust system incl. headers.

No you do not need bigger exhaust.
You will not be running the Nitrous all the time on the engine so if you did go 3 inch it would kill your car. I think it is okay to go to 2.5 with the eco and 2.4.

Hmm I didn't notice anywhere it saying it was a complete header to full exhaust system. I only know two companies making exhaust systems like that an they're in the $700-$1000 range.

But whatever...

As Silver Streak said, no you don't need it. People who run low boost don't even need it. Just gives more power if you do.

or get a header and high flow cat and an elcectronic cut out, thats what I'm doing and I know that Darkstars did that and he said it worked great you just need to find out how much to open the cutout for maximum performance!
