installing zex kit
Thursday, February 23, 2006 11:46 PM
I'm installing my kit next weekend and I have a few ?'s. I bought my kit used, so I have no directions, and I am wondering where to run wires for a few things. I need to know where to run the rpm wire for the nitrous management unit, and I need to know where to get the rpm wire for my window switch. Sorry if my questions are worded incorrectly. Btw, it is a dry kit. If I am leaving out any information just let me know. Help a noob out. Thanks in advance.

Zex's website has a link to where you can download installation instructions and read through Adobe Acrobat.

Also, you're looking for the TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) wire located near the Throttle Body. Last I heard the wire was white? (someone correct if wrong please) And for the window switch I think it may be the same wire. I'm sure someone who's installed a Zex dry will be able to tell you specifically.

ANd last but not least, if you want your engine to stay long I wouldn't run a 75shot, on an Ln2 atleast.

Thanks man. I updated my profile to 50 shot, lol. I guess I'll stay with that until I've got another engine laying around. If anybody else can chime in I appreciate it. Especially if you've installed a zex dry on a LN2.

not sure if Zex comes with a fuel pressure reg or not

55 shot on an engine with that many miles is pushing it

Just check a/f ratio and do a compression check! Those are a good "quick" source of info when you want to know what your engine can handle.

dry I assume?...

Kinda pointless because even with a 55 shot your car will be slow.

well i've got some mods but i dont think it's gunna be that slow the car runs good it's had serveral different things replaced such as timing chain, valves, head gasket and more besides i know a friend of mine who ran 75 shot on a 2.4 with more miles than mine and a supercharger.
