Better late then never!!!
Friday, June 22, 2007 12:11 PM
I recently installed my nitrous wet kit from ZEX (recently... i actually installed it in May) and i took it to the track pushin a 65 shot and ran a 9 flat in an 1/8th. Might not be impressive but i was on -4 retard and i was runnin on my 17's so i couldnt hook very well. Anyway the reason im so late on the post is cuz im currently in the middle of mobilization for deployment to Iraq, and i didnt have enough time to post before i left. I appreciate all the help from you guys. This site has taught me alot and all of you should keep up with it. I"ll return from deployment in May of 08, and i plan on boosting it with spray, just have to forge the hell out of it before i do. Anyway thanks guys, ill keep up with the site in Iraq. Take care. Oh, one more thing before i go. Took the Cavy out the nite before i left, and demolished an SRT4 by 4 car lengths from a dead stop. That one was for all of you. Later.

Then you better be running with a semi-built motor and boost..A stock 2.2 eco or 2.4 with a 100 shot will not beat a Srt4.I think they run low 13's stock.

Right and do you even know who that person was that ran that time of 13.3,I do,he was a member here(Nitro) and he had drag radials along with that 100 shot. Are you gonna run a 100 shot all the time without building the motor and pulling timing??Your also forgetting weight factor, how much does the cav weigh in comparison to the Neon.Is the cav an auto or manual. Many more factors involved that throwin on a 100 shot and sayin you can beat everything. Also a 2.3 is a Quad 4,not a 2.4.And Dp nitrous is a different story in comparison to a basic wet or dry kit. Also neither of the people posting above have anything in their profiles to prove they have a car that can beat an SRT

Theres an srt4 that runs around here that I can beat all day long... his best et is like a 14.5 or .6 or somethin... but I dont think he knows how to drive worth a damn

Best ET to Date: 14.251 @ 98.51 mph. 13's or Bust Baby!

I believe that ,trust me I am not an Srt fan at all,but the OP simply states that he demolished an Srt 4 by 4 lengths and yet, other than the MSD setup that he probably has to retard timing there is nothing else to prove that..Our cars are great off the line but as an auto driver, even with nitrous, that 3rd gear kills me.

See Nitro run 100 hp nitrous with a 100% stock engine about how? 2 Years with no problem!!I think 100 hp direct port+ MSD DIS2 and windows switch it the way !My friend drive 2005 srt-4 stage 1!!Pull really hard and really fast on track 13.47@ 104.6mph!!Anyway i dont think 65 hp nitrous can kill a stock srt-4 that it sure!

Oh yeah i never say I BEAT a srt-4 with my z24 i dunno why you talking about my profile!!
Re: Better late then never!!!

I wasn't talking to you.But I do find it odd that you have been a member since 04 and have nothing in your profile.I was referring to Jamille's statement about losing power coming out of 3rd gear, when we all know that 3rd gear in our cars is a really tall gear and since he has nothing in his profile either to prove any clutch or trans. work, then I can't believe his statement..I also never said that you beat an SRT with your car?Read my post again,my point is that Jarrett(Nitro) had a great 1/4 time and he was also racing a stock 3.8L V-6 mustang. But how many times do you think you can get away with running a 100 shot in stock internals and not pull timing. He had a MSD window switch not a MSD ignition and nowhere in his profile does it state that he had a direct port kit, only a Nitrous Works wet kit.So why would you need a dp setup to beat an Srt 4.Lastly Jamille wants to know if has the potential to beat an SRT 4 WITHOUT NITROUS.You won't do that unless you have a boosted or a seriously built N/A car.

Man u would have to build one sick NA LD9 to beat an SRT-4. Nitro is the only guy to run 13.3 on a 100 shot on this site with the motor being stock. Now how he did it know one knows but i know one thing for sure that motor would not last long. And for the guy who started this thread r u sure it was an srt-4.

ok no prob.I understand,I know some people here have a hard time with English but what I meant is that 3rd gear in the 4t40e auto trans. sucks period.Which is exactly what your saying, even though you obviously have a manual, that is why alot of the mods we do increase the top end more than other mods.I'll tell you after doing the 2.3 mani and t.b. swap I have noticed a loss in the low end but increase in the top end.BTW not tryin' to give ya' a hard time bro.

I had a HO mani and TB, along with a 50 shot, the SRT4 was bone stock and it barely pulled on me, was about a fender's length by 100. 65 shot from a dead stop, thats definitely a driver's race if you ask me.

IDK man, I would say its possible, a driver has a lot to do with it. 4 car lengths, sounds like the SRT driver didn't know how to launch and just punched it and shredded his tires.

Wow that does sound impressive,I have always backed down when I come up on an SRT or a Cobalt SS/SC
