anyone running one of those? Whatcha think?

also with a WOT you still have to arm the system and hit another switch right?

Looks pretty cool.Running it to a Zex dry kit would be ideal as Zex uses a TPS sensor instead of a microswitch mounted on the TB.If I'm not mistaken you would still have to hook up an arming switch but not two switches.

Keep in mind they're using a simple venturi, which may "capture" more air at the filter but doesn't "force" more air through your engine. The nitrous displaces incoming air anyway. If this kit is cheap enough for you then it's an easy way to get nitrous to the engine. But if you're spending more because of the "features" you're not getting anything worth paying for.

afpr = air fuel pressure regulator?? thats just a guess cuz I have no idea what that means

i have a 2005 sunfire se
2.2 L61
just purchased the zex air amplifiier and a zex dry kit. Does anyone know if it's safe to test a small shot, maybe 25-40 , with no tuning or internal mods? obviously i have a cold air intake.

You will be just fine,I ran a 75 shot wet on my 98 cav 2.4 with 133k on it,never a problem

did you have any internal mods when u ran the 75 shot?

all i have is an intake, u think there is a risk of blowing something?

You have the Eco right?Start out with a 50 shot and see how it feels to you but all I had was an intake, shift kit, upper&lower urethane mounts.

you'll be fine with a 50 shot on the eco, i would run a wet kit, instead of a dry kit.

stock eco with 110 shot <<<<<<<<<WTF???

just curious, what was your reason for choosing wet over dry? have you experienced both?

i guess its more of a personal pref, but once you get into the bigger shots, its hard for the fuel system to keep up with the amount of dry nitrous your putting into the motor.. i would NEVER run a 110 shot dry, but i am running one wet.

i see running a wet kit over a dry kit more as a safety precaution over a personal preference. As long as you get plenty of fuel delivered then your fine, but other then that ^^^^ he hit the nail on the head!

tru tru. i'm not trying to break any records, or be the fastest j body out there just yet. I just want a little more kick out of this eco. so i think i'll be satisfied with a 50 dry for now. there's always room for advancement. thanks for the info!

i read on another topic (fogot which one) that i need colder spark plugs before i run a 50 shot (dry).

do you think these will do?

NGK PTR5A-13 .052"

05 sunfire SE 2.2 ecotec 4d00r

One step colder copper plugs,NGK's are fine and I'm not sure on the gap, some here I think have ran a .035 gap.

thats the gap that im running and still running good, I have over 150k on my motor and it still gets up and goes with a 35 shot.

i have 00 z24 with zex dry kit and the air amplifier and runnin 75 shot with no tuning best run is a 14.4 1/4 mile and i had no prob all though been told farther the jet is from the intake less power ull get from ur nitrous so ill be tappin a hole in a tb spacer soon prob be best to use the filter on a HO intake manifold since it will be alot more closer then a stock mani with a 3 foot pipe haha
Re: ZEX Ejector Air Amplifier?

the jet is supposed to be 6-8 inches from the tb, so im unsure that making a whole in the tb spacer and spraying through there would be such a great idea. Do you have a single nozzle for both? You get the best mixture and atomization through 1 jet but i still see the possibility of stuff puddling in the manifold and blowing up with the jet in the tb spacer.
