you should pull the bad cylinder and check for damage. you might only need to replace the piston and rings if the bore is OK. <br>

you just got the 2.2 ohv right, i dont know what your plan is to fixing it but im try so sell a 02 2.2ohv 3164 miles on it for 375 obo but if not whatever
I dont think he should by a 98-02 motor for his 1996 car. The timing on the motors are different, which tells me that the PCMs have different programs. <br>

I feel your pain, I blew my motor on a 75 shot from a zex dry kit. I had a 2.4 though....but I know how u feel, sorry to hear that
Yeah, well....im gonna pull the head and see whats up. If I can get away with putting in a new piston, ring, and bearings I will. I hope to god the block is okay. IF so, ill do that and then put the nitrous in my room. Ill probably sell it and buy a NX kit for the "new motor" that im gonna build. Thats if this motor is fine.
Otherwise im buying a brand new stinken car (or new used
) and drive it while a build nice version of Adlers race motor. BUT, nitrous is what im doing....I know jack about turbos...and obviously about nitrous to LoL
Thought about the 2.4 swap...and really, i dont think its worth it. I was beating 2.4's before I blew up (n/a). Plus I already have ALL this stuff for my 2.2...if i got a 2.4, id have to try and sell most of it...which I couldnt. So, im building this ole 2.2.
IF i had smarts id try and do the 3.8 supercharger swap...but look at the problems the "smart ppl" are having. Eh
Im not sure if this new motor will be fast n/a. Probably gonna bore .20 with 9:1 compression, forged pistons, rods, maybe cyro crank, all clevite bearings, all arp bolts, si valves and valve guides, lifters and pushrods, headwork w/ 1.6 rockers, ported Intake and TB. Basically the same thing i have now but with stronger internals and some breathing mods. Should wake it up. Then run a 75 shot on top of that (WET).
BTW, if anyone is debating on gettin the centerforce DF Clutch. DONT!! This mother was slipping pretty bad with the 50 shot. Has about 7k on it to.

I did my best to warn you about (lean is evil), when in doubt don't spray, use good fuel, etc...
Just curious, did you have the vacuum line from the brain box to the FPR clamped on the FPR? I had mine pop off once at the FPR. Scared the absolute chit out of me when I raised the hood after a short test shot. Hose unhooked at the FPR means no high(er) fuel pressure with a dry Zex kit, and a deadly lean condition.

Anybody wanna Buy a ZEX kit? Brand new 10ft Line and Brand new NOS brand psi gauge on bottle. Brand new brackets (not even here yet, ordered em though) 325 dollars...has full bottle to. Cant ship it with juice but I CAN give it to ya if your in TX.
The TPS crap is ripped out and it runs on a Microswitch (like NX) with relay.

is it possible that since you changed the way that the NMU runs (micro switch instead of TPS wire), that it affected the way it reads and regualates the fuel and Juice? <br>
