Just got my nitrous installed
Sunday, September 19, 2004 3:04 AM
Well I installed my NX wet kit today and i am very pleased with the results. Install was fairly smooth (had a couple of things that slowed me down a lil) i will probably post some pics tommorrow when I find time.

I went ahead and started off with the 35 shot to get the hang of it and make sure that everything worked --- well at first it didn't and it took me a couple minutes to figure out why. (I am a basic retard and I did not have a fuel preddure safety switch and I never grounded that wire) After I figured it out I did a couple of runs and damn the car flys this is by far the best mod I have ever done to my car. Well after a few runs with the 35 I decided to try the 50 out and damn what a difference.

I plan on eventually going to the 75 shot but figured i would wait a little while --

anyways I have a few things that I still want to get and wanted to know some of the things not on the list below that people have gotten and would recomend.

- i have a purge kit that I have yet to install
- nitrous pressure gauge
- bottle heater
- fuel pressure gauge
- I have some tr6's

what else do you guys have that you are happy about purchasing

some of the h\things contained in this post might be badly written and may not make any since at all since i am typing at 6 in the morning and had not yet went to bed.

I have some pics of the install and I wanted to say due to the lack of sack left on the fuel and nitrous lines that places to mount your selinoids where greatly limited.

I just put mine on too and the @!#$ isn't working. I filled the bottle with what was left in the refill station and i think im empty. Its spraying but i think its only fuel. cuz my car is missfireing and i think one of the plugs are fouled. I mean i think I would notice a 75 shot. I plan on bumping it up to a 130-150 shot as soon as all the bugs are worked out. anyway have fun with you new toy!
yeah --- the first time i tried to use it --- it did not work and I was like hmmm thats it --- feels stock

then i realized it was not working but i forgot to ground the fuel pressure saftery switch

and yes you would DEFINENTLY feel a 75 shot ---- think about it on a 2.2 it is close to double the hp

I would reccommend an RPM switch if you can get one that works on the eco. It's a dandy thing to have to keep you from spraying into the fuel cut off rev limiter. And if your bottle heater isn't hooked up already, DO IT! It makes the shot feels even more intense.
i was talkin to him on aim, and he said he's gone through a whole bottle already but he had a leak where the purge connects to the solenoid cause he didn't seal it right.... so he didn't get to use the whole bottle... but close

Damn this makes me want to get a 100 shot kit for my car, it'd be fun to head down to the strip with 350 hp and see what'd she'd run!

what are you running for fuel and timing mods? NX says to retard 1 degree for 75 shot and 2 for 100. You dont have any fuel mods in your reg. I was just curious because i want to do the same but was wating till i get my timing stuff. I just bought my truck and might just throw the 100 in there. Video tape it going BOOM. It would give me more reason to get the other motor off the stand and in the car.

Thats cool, good to hear that you are not having any problems because i am considering dropping nitrous in my car to. How much did you pick your kit up for? I have found a kit by edelbroch for $550 or so its a dry shot 40 to 60 shot but i dont know exactly what to go with yet... still confused a bit

i am cerious to hear 1/4 mile times though so be sure to let us know good luck!
