direct port 200 shot

Thinking about alternatives to boost and im thinking about n20. I want to be able to drive around and run 87 octane to drive around and be cool on gas, and when i want to play on weekends or whatever i can pump in some premium or race gas and run n2o. My rod bearings went so the motor is getting pulled and im getting eagle rods and stock compression forged pistons. Im also gonna mill the head a little bit and use the thinner cometic head gasket to gain a bit of compression. Im planning on running a direct port shot up to 200 with a very slight possibility of going a little higher if possible at all.

With that setup, msd ignition with 2 step colder plugs, and an upgraded fuel pump is that safe?
What else would i need if anything?
Also, would the NX maximiser work with the direct port system?
And lastly, is there a way to change my ignition retard from inside the car?

I don't know why nobody has touched this post yet, but I guess I'll be the first. I think that the biggest problem with that much spray is traction. Karo had a suspension completely built for dragging and he couldn't get anywhere near that bc of traction. Maybe if you threw a progressive controller in there or something you could hook up, but without a lot a supporting mods for traction, I think you'll run about the same times you would with a hundred shot, and you'll be putting a helluva lot more stress on your suspension/car.

I agree with the lemur. If you plan on spraying that much you will have major traction issues. If I were to even attempt a 200 shot on a fwd car It would definitely be a staged system and I would use a progressive. I understand you are having your motor rebuilt with stronger internals but if you plan on keeping this motor for a while I would suggest a smaller shot 100-150. How many small block chevys have you herd of running a 400 shot on basically stock motor with forged rods and pistons?

I would start with a low shot setup until you understand how to tune your kit. Another thing to keep in mind is how fast do you really want to go? You could break 12.9-13.3 on 100-150 shot with forged internals and supporting airflow mods easily. Some members here have gone quite far into the 13's on a 100 on ld9s.

Are you going to incorporate some other safety devises into your setup? Don't get me wrong Nitrous is fun almost every single friend of mine including myself run juice or have used it in the past. I would suggest some more research and reading to decide what you are trying to do or what you want.

If i could suggest a book to buy.

An awesome safety device: also a very good bang for the buck )

I noticed that you are running an auto. I would recomend looking into the Team Green LSD for your car to help with traction. It is quite the deal and from what I understand Speedracer Z should be done fitting the insert for the autos.
