2.4L and 2.2L Nitrous Plate
Thursday, April 09, 2009 9:26 AM
I have been talking to Tyler and he has sent me his nitrous adapter to have tapped into an aluminum flange for his 2.4 LD9. I was wondering if there any of you that would be interested in this as well. If I am gonna run just one for him it will be a little pricey and he was telling me that others might be interested, so thats why I am askin. The flange would look like this but tapped for the nitrous system.

You know, I've always wanted to see a nitrous plate similar to a carb plate that would bolt up under the throttle body.

I know a lot of guys do similar with the tb spacers that are available, but I'm talking like a full spray bar plate like the carb guys are able to run.

It would probably require upgrading to a larger throttle body to counteract sticking something in the air path, but that would be a sweet and easily removable way of running some nauce on the newer cars.

I'd like a 70mm one with the bolt pattern for a 3500 upper intake manifold please.

I would have loved this part 6 months ago, it would have made for a sweet direct port setup

This is PERFECT for the ecotecs as it eliminates the chance of fuel puddling in the intake manifold.

I think this is @!#$ awesome. Now we can basically do a direct port setup without having to tap the existing manifold for a truly modular setup.

I'd be totally down for one.

Sounds like a great idea, and I'd love to see more custom parts available for Ecotecs, but the price for pretty much a throttle body spacer has got to be lower for me to be interested.

BTW- yes I know it isn't a TB spacer and goes under the manifold.

Its not that, its how long it takes to machine it and what not. If I can get more people I would be willing to go a little lower on the price.

If you can get it down to around $150-175 you'd sell them like hot cakes

Nice. So have you figured out how much longer the bolts will need to be when the intake mani is installed? And are you going to include new bolts in the kits you sell?

that is just SICK.

to bad i dont think i could use it, be way too thick and my charge pipe probably wouldnt work... especially with your phenolic spacer.

wait a tic... could this be made out of phenolic instead?!?!!? press threaded sleeves in for the nozzels to screw into...

might be able to use it then... if you could get it as thin as possible.

I'm tired of wasting my time... now I'm breakin' free.

All I need is a spare head really to work off. But if not the head a Intake gasket will do.
