Get off your lazy ass. NOW!
TheSundownFire (GME Chat) wrote:Well its the exact measurements of the opening. I still suck at SketchUp so Im definitely not taking my final build measurements from it. Im going to try to leave an inch or an inch and a half from the back of the seat. So its not going to be flushed out.
flush it out. will look cleaner. as long as the trim piece sits out further then the sub. also remember that panel that wraps around the opening gets pretty thin near the bottom. so if that piece is back to far you may se gaps.

Im having trouble explaining what I mean. Itll be flush with the rear of the opening. I need to rough it out with cardboard or something but the current system is in my way as of now.
Whats the name and pricing of the stuff Brad used to seal his doors?

BTW go here:
http://195.243.203.21/rainbow/technical.aspx?pa=12211131&lan=ENG read all the tech specs on those. Those are the ones that fit your budget best. And they happen to be a set of Rainbows I had the pleasure of installing twice now too

One older version of that line, and one set of that exact set.

They look tasty to me. I forgot that Rainbow was a German company
Id have to measure but Im guessing those tweeter would be too large to fit in the stock Sunfire spot. Guess Ill try my hand at FG.
Dunno if they would or not. They are a fairly standard tweeter size. Might be able to make it work, honestly. I do know that they woofers are surprisingly not too deep at all. Great sized woofer.

Did you mount them with 3/4 or 1/2 inch spacers?
Ive got to pull the kicks and move the Bostons to the door for the time being so Ill measure it when its out.
I didn't uise any spacers but they weren't installed in j's. One was a tahoe and one was an s-10

Well. The tweeters from my Boston set fit perfectly with a little bit of double stick tape to tighten the gap between the clips and the tweeter. I forgot to measure the stock tweeter though.
What I noticed is that the opening it kinda small but the area behind it is larger. But if they dont fit Ill just try my hand at FG and build some door pods.
