Hey when i turn the system up playing heavy rock, occasionally the amps overload protection cuts power. anyone know why?
you have your gains set too high.
car audio noob since 1984.
because you have a $400 system that puts out 1100 watts obviously
I think its may be from gains set to high....And also it could be you need another CAP to help with all the MAD POWER you have in there...
Son I have more power going to my back speakers than you do the whole car. NOW WHAT?!?!?!?!
^ I like the way this man thinks
Jason is my brother from another mother - true story. The wafflebox has been banned from IASCA, MECA, DB Drag and Bass Race. I'm working on something with fillo dough.
mmmmmmmm,now I am Craving Waffles...
Either your gains are set to high or you have a crappy ground.
Thought he would already know. Since he is a Canadian Electronic blah blah blah blah....
Sorry. I KID! :-( Honestly, wish I knew the answer. I'm ognna take a guess and say A: Either a problem with the installation or B:Sub Par equipment.
Those are just guesses.
Being that you keep claiming huge numbers out of your equipment, I'm going to go ahead and say you are simply trying to push it further than it can be pushed. You installed everything, thought it was going to shake babies to death from a mile away, so you turned the gain up until it wouldn't go up any further. On another note, but same idea, you might also be one of those audio newcomers who think that the gain is a volume knob and that turning it all the way up means you are just turning it up to put out it's full rated power. That's not the case at all, and you have a lot to learn.
Like James said, you DID come in here boasting about being some master tech electrical genius magician.... I'm surprised I'm even giving you advice right now, because with all the boasting and down talk, you don't deserve an ounce of assistance from anyone.

if you're as "qualified" a firefighter as much as you're "qualified" an electrical engineer, you'll burn the whole area code down.
