Factory Subwoofer?

Maybe someone can help me. I have a 2000 z24, I installed a Clarion NX702 and I like how it sounds right now even though I have factory speakers. I am looking to get some more bass without going all out with a sub woofer box and amps. I use this car as DD and do not want to loose and trunk space. My 89 z24 has a full system and absolutely not trunk space not even for a pair of shoes. I was thinking about swapping in a factory amp and factory rear speakers that go with it but I did not know if it would give more bass or not. I was also thinking of looking for a mustang with a bose system, mazda MX5, or chrystler 300 at the junkyard, since I know some came with preamped rear speakers and built in sub in the deck lid and gave a vary nice amount of bass. I do not know if I would be able to find them or not so I am looking for all possible options. I thought about using a tube sub but they are still a little big. I am really looking for something slim to mount to the deck lid.

What about a pioneer sub from a cobalt, it mounts in the far left trunk corner, not much space lost and they sound pretty decent.

Have a nice day.

I will look into that. I only knew about the three cars I drove. So any info helps.

A small 10" with the amp mounted on the box wouldn't take up much room at all...

If you had no room in the trunk, you had way more sub than you seem to need, dude. Honestly, especially with decent shallow mounts on the market now, you can easily add a sub and small amp without killing trunk space.

I'm in the process of hooking up a Pioneer sub from a Cobalt SS in my GT. So far it's been pretty straight forward. Will most likely be your easiest and best bet. It contours to the rear fender arches decently enough. I'll post picks when I have it all installed

I know I had more then just subs, I also went through two or three trunk latches because the pressure in my trunk kept blowing the latches apart.
