Installed my Eclipse flip-out DVD player
Tuesday, March 08, 2005 11:09 AM
Since I'm on spring break, I got to catch up on some of the mods that have been sitting around my apartment. One of them was my flip-out DVD player. I got the GMCO connector so I didn't have to relocate the stock headunit (which is good b/c I didn't even have a tape or CD player in it). The GMCO replicates the stock door chime, too, even though it's not a big deal to me.

Mounted the DVD player's brain under the driver's seat, and a 400W amp under the passenger's seat...

Finished product! Check out my CarDomain site for more pics.

Dude, that looks awesome. What amp did you sneak under your seat?

Believe it or not, I was able to fit my buddy's 400W Jensen amp (the kind that lights up). It's not my first choice, but I had to hook something up. It barely fits, too....another millimeter and it would've been to wide for the seat tracks.

What's a decoder?
As far as mods go, I have the Razzi kit sitting in my basement. My VIS CF hood is on backorder, they said it should ship within 2 weeks. I'm waiting til the bodyshop can get the car in to have the invisible bra installed, and the kit installed and painted. After that, I'll probably get a bunch of RKSport carbon fiber interior pieces. I also want to do an intake and powdercoat the valve cover....
