will HU mount where HVAC controls are? 04 cav

i'm thinking about removing the stock radio, and putting a 5" LCD in it's place.

I also want to get a headunit for FM radio and aux inputs...

will this work?

I guess i could put the headunit in the center console or somewhere?

suggestions? comments? tips?
all posts are welcome!
thanks

it will fit but you will have to make a mounting bracket for the head unit and you would have to do a little cutting to fit the screen in

the *only* part i'm worried about is making the HU fit in the HVAC spot.

I have no idea on how to make a custom bracket. how would I go about doing that?

also, the HVAC controls should be completely electrical right? no vacuum tubes?

any suggestions on where to put the HVAC controls or how to mount them so they don't look like complete ass?

thanks!

you have a cable, vacume hoses and wires on the back of your HVAC i moved mine in front of the passenger flush in the dash and mounted a tv where that was (by the way i have a 99) but i had to cut the vents out and it was a series pain moving the hvac. but in the end it is worth it it took me 8 hrs to finish it know all i have to do is find someone close that can fiberglass. you could flush mount the hvac in the center console, where i have mine, or you could put it in the glove box but mind you if you go and move it anywhere but in the dash above the glove box you will have to extend the vacume hoses the wires and the cable (Say pain in the A$$).
