Update Time, Got home to see a Pro-fec B waiting. Brand new.
Remounted the intercooler a different way. Had to cut the bumper support a little, but it fits alot better now, and i kept the main section of the support intact. I wont have to cut the side grilles out of the bumper like i needed to before. Think it looks better, and you will see the start of my front lip.

Nice. Where's the front lip?
Vinny,
I would like to give you a piece of advice from my expierences in building my 2200. Please take it for what it's worth and do as you wish but, at least give what I am saying some thought.
As exciting as it is to buy all of the piece's towards your turbo build and to try to get yourself a head. I would strongly suggest you focus on only what stage your at now and not where your going to be in a week, month, or year. What I mean is that I would dedicate your resources to furthering progression of the build and not the accessories. I did exactly what your doing. I bought ALL of the recommended items along the way even down to the exact same boost controller you just bought. It's just a bad idea to buy stuff you dont need yet. If your building the motor buy the internals. If your ready to tune its a great time to have a boost controller but if your not even close to that point there is no point in sticking money in an item that is going to sit and collect dust... no matter how cool it is.
My build has been insanely expensive because of this reasoning. I purchased a ton of stuff with the idea of having a insane build. Half the stuff I do not even have anymore because it either walked off, wasnt needed or the money was needed else where. Here is my list of parts that have come and gone:
Greddy Profec Spec-B boost controller - Walked off mysteriously
HUGE Spearco Intercooler - Was too big for 98-02 accord headlights I was molding into my build
Brand new Drift front bumper - ditched for stock look
F1 Fenders - molder for accord headlights ditched
Bomex Side skirts - ditched
Andy's Auto Sports Street Fighter rear bumper - ditched
Turbosport waste gate - ditched because wrong flange
TurboSport manual boost controller - ditched for my current HKS EVC-S
O.E.M. Big brake - ditched for Wilwoods
Powerslott rotors - ditched for OEM Big Brakes
DEI - Cryogenic front mount cooler system- ditched
2x10lb NOS bottled - ditched
full twin bottle nitrous kit wet w/ every accessory from bottle heaters to openers and blwo down tubes - ditched for tuning reasons
Autometer gauges - ditched
SP gagues - ditched
Drive shaft shop stage 3 axles manual - manual conversion was ditched in favor of a full 4T40E build
There is probably a ton of stuff I am forgetting. All I am saying is concentrate on the tasks at hand and your success will be much higher and the completion will come much faster. I havent driven my car in almost 7 years and this laundry list of direction changes is exactly why.
Thanks for the advice Josh. I know what you are saying and i totally agree. I have a huge pile of parts in my room waiting for assemble time. I have all the internals and everything needed for the motor, except a few little things. I know i need to start machine work but the problem is i am a full time college student and i work as well. I use the car everyday, so to put it down will be rough. Im trying to get everything so when the motor is done i can just swap it in. I agree with you that there are parts that will sit for a while. Im going to check out the head today and see how far it has come along. I know that when the motor is done, the car will be done in order to get everything the way i want it. Im hoping to do that during the summer when im off from school. My only thought is that i dont want to pay for machine work and then have an assembled motor and tranny sitting for a long time.
I really appreciate your concern thou, its not to often you find people looking out for others on forums. I do want this motor done, but i dont want to rush anything. I wanted to order HPT and the LSD before machine work, but i might take your advice and go for machine work, because it might give me a little "kick" to get this thing done.

How's things going on this Vinny? Also, I agree with Josh too. I'm going to take his advice to heard and work on my immediate problems too.
Saved up for machine work, should be sending the block out within a week or two. Stopped by the uncles to see how the head was coming along. Chambers are all finished, valve pockets were opened up for the larger valves, ARP rocker studs were installed and the ports are almost done. Last thing is to install the bronze valve guides, and that should be it.

Make sure you have the right amount of clearance for the valve to valve guide area. I,e, Make sure the valve guide diameter is large enough for the valve. I know that sounds crazy, but it's what caused me to go through two sets of wiseco pistons. because the valve got stuck open because it couldn't slide correctly inside the valve guide. It went in fine, and moved up and down, but apparently, I didn't have enough clearance...
Yah, I went through two sets before I found the cause.... definitely not cheap at $500 a set. And because they are custom pistons, (at least for my over-bored motor), you can't buy just one piston. You have to buy a whole set. The good news is that I have spare pistons sitting here on my office desk, lol. $125 paper weight, haha.
So i ran into a few questions that i thought the org would be useful for. First is if anyones Wiseco pistons came with locks for the pins, as mine did not and there is a groove/slot for them.
Also i was wondering if the stock flywheel bolts will be strong enough, or is anyone using ARP. I could only find the ARP number for the eco flywheel bolts. Any info is appreciated.

I'm pretty sure my wiseco pistons came with the wrist pin clips. Or retainers. Not 100% sure of the correct name
I got locks with my pistons, both sets for the ohv and the eco, do you need the part number for the spiro locks?
I just went through my wiseco box and found some info. The paper with the order info lists CW21 as the retainer clips. I do also have an unused baggie of CW28, which is also a wrist pin lock (21mm).
Weird. I looked at mine and it had piston pin number blank! But I did get wrist pins.
Diameter: .826
Length: .000
Retainer clip: cw21
Width or wire dia: .0490
My Bore is 3.5400 in case it matters.
How's the Cylinder head looking? And is the block at the machine shop? Did you get the Wiseco wrist pin clips?
Well its been a month and a few more parts have been bought. Machine work is in process, boring, hot tank, line honing, and all the good stuff. i came across 2 amazing deals that i couldnt pass up in the mean time..............
Moroso Transmission Cooler:
Magnaflow High Flow Cat, 3in IN/OUT:
I also got some nice chevy orange paint for the block
I am going to start disassembling my spare transmission for the rebuild and order the LSD from there. Anyone who rebuilt the 4t40e that has any tips, they are more than appreciated. I have the ATSG manual for the transmission but any extra advice would be great. I have rebuilt transmissions before, but those were powerglides / TH350 and i have a good feeling this will be more in depth.

My dad just installed my LSD insert in my auto. He said it was way easier than he thought it would be. If you have any specific questions I can ask him and get back to you pretty quick. Good Luck.
