That is the coolest looking turbo manifold I think Ive ever seen......How many hours total do you have in that entire build??? Also where do you order your collectors and pipe sections from...looking for that type of thing to make a new turbo manifold for my Saturn SL2(old one is doo doo).

I don't really have much to update other than the engine build is coming together. I've been having a very hard time this past 1.5 year trying to find time for much else besides work and family(2 kids now). Plans haven't changed, just timing. In this span of time I have managed to get some billet cams designed and cut, along with some other things here and there in my spare time. Been also working on the interior some, got the Megasquirt to control the factory gauge cluster too....that will be sweet when I do an update thread on that. Also got a line on the GM factory gauges and controllers so a full custom gauge cluster wont be hard to do....FYI, the gauges can move FAST! The GM controller runs them in 8th step mode for accuracy. That's fine for a speedometer, but the tach lags. When the tach is run in full step I can swing the whole range twice in a second and come back to peg a number and only be about 100rpm or so off.....Once I added a reset button to sweep the gauges and reset(can be done on the fly, just basically does what the gauges do when you start the car) it goes right back and pegs the number dead on. So a fast sweep like a drag run can be done, reset, ready to go on down the road. It's pretty sweet. Sorry I haven't had much time to post.

O man, I have to re-preme up too....can't believe I let that lag. I'll do that this week. Have to keep up the support for the JBO!

Basically all the needles are moved by motors that move in steps (stepper motors be the name). And they require a special controller. You have options on the controller, basically the faster you move it the less accurate it can be and vice versa. What he's saying is that GM has them all move slow and he now has the ability the change the settings in the controller to make the tac run hella fast but only accurate within 100 RPM.
