whoa.. it is??! jered methe bought yours... ?? edit.. lol i just confirmed. jered did get it from you hahaha thats awesome. my blowa has gone 13's! ohh yea!

on a side note, i took DOWN my fuel pressure tonight to try and see if leaning it out would do anything for it (it seemed faster leaner) and something odd happened, it actually got RICHER. and also.. FASTER lol at least thats what the butt down says. seeing low 12's high 11's WOT AFR now. so wtf is up with that? these LSJ stage 2's want lower pressure? something to do with the cobalt returnless fuel system perhaps?

been doing a little research.... talking to people etc.

i found this guy (C24s/c) while reading some old posts. there are no time slips or a filled out registry but his sig states that he ran a 13.940 @ 99.78 with the m45. so that means there's at least three m45's in the 13's now. ....he's from canada. im gonna try and email him and see if he responds. if so ill put his info in here or better yet have him post up.

so, we have this so far... i know there has got to be more but this is what ive been able to find.

1.) Chris Taetsch (taetschz24) -------------------------- 13.79@102.45
2.) John Miller (jmiller (JM Graphics the sticker guy) - 13.901@103.5 (auto)
3.) Nate S. (C24s/c) --------------------------------------- 13.940 @ 99.78
4.) Clyde Moore (mitdr774) ------------------------------ 14.267@99.20
5.) Scott Kesterke (Lafngas)----------------------------- 14.3xx @ 98.xx
6.) Jered Methe (methe)-----------------------------------14.321@94.73
6.) Matthew Jollymore (2000greenz24)-----------------14.328@96.15
7.) Bill T (BlownBlackZ)--------------------------------------14.330@96.37
8.) Mr. GM 97cavie2.4ls)------------------------------------14.3xx @ 96.xx (auto)
9.) Luke Heier (heierlu) ------------------------------------14.403@97.59

dont worry. i plan on making a huge dent in that list this next summer.

there's just something about a 10.1 built motor including titanium rods, a gutted crank, ported head/1mm os valves, ho cams, a 2.4" snout pulley, os crank pulley, meth, and nitrous that is just screaming at me.

that just means the boost comes on stronger earlier in the rpm range and tops out earler up top. no big deal. its still a gain as long as you control the heat.

With a stock crank pulley and a 2.4 S/C pulley I was already about 1000 RPM above the rated max speed for the M45. I dont think I would want to push any further than that. The scream of the S/C was amazing in person, but I am sure it was to fast for the rotors to last long term.

Steimyer (sp?) gives the M45 a little higher RPM rating than Eaton. I'm over Eaton's, but just below SM.

I also limit my engine RPM's to 6450. I wouldn't rev to 7k with a 2.4 and OS. I'm still on a 2.5, but I am really considering a 2.4.

I was about (IIRC) 500 RPM shy of the red, where Eaton says the rotors can impact the case do to Gforces on the rotors, with my OS crank and the 2.6 charger.

Using 100% water, WAY better heat dissipating effects, and 10-12 PSI I was at around 90* IAT's

Never ran it like that though. It did punch has hard as it did when I ran the 2.8 and the OS crank with the 30 shot jet.

BUT when I ran the OS crank, 2.6 charger I also upped the jet to .031", 50 shot dry I think, again, never ran it like that.
At that time I learned what the GM LS engines are about...In love with them since.

ON a side note, I saw a 97 Z with a fist sized hole in the block next to the oil air sep....

Told the kid just to get a damn 2.3 for it and be done.

well it wouldnt be done, see. it'd pry have a cracked head if he could even find one.

anyways, im glad were having all this discussion. it helps me learn... i was always an m45 hater for the most part but now since ive gotten my second one and actually have used this one lol im all for it. still believe n/a is better but not for a daily driven "comfy" car.

as for overspinning it and having the rotors impact the case... well, steigemeyer takes the coating off them so wouldnt that give up some space?

im about to go out and finally get my meth install finished up. oh and im pretty sure i found wade's shifted tune on one of my old thumb drives.

You can always send the rotors to get lightened. Apparently that will allow you to spin it faster.
Re: M45 Record's...
Saturday, October 27, 2012 12:56 PM
Ours do not have the Teflon coating.

MP62's do though.

I asked Tom (wrenchmonky) and so far he has yet to find my old tune, If I find it ill post it for all to use.

I think I have my new 02 close to the old one though.

Lighting it should do it for relieving stress....

I was also thinking that the TVS R900 (m45 size) form should be a direct swap for rotors.... want me to look in to it with Eaton?
