just have a bigger engine to push it with.
I choose the technology built for land speed records... not the technology built to save on emissions and gas mileage.
Two pages, not one power record, lol.

Oldskool is coming up today(Sunday) to load my tune onto my new ECU and if everything works out i should have dyno numbers by next weekend.

Or to finish the race.
That's awesome news though let us know how it turns out. I need to get back down there to meet up with Ryan. Need a few more tweaks with my tune.

what are you estimating?..just to see how close you are at guessing...
every time i do something it seems someone else is always two steps ahead..my m62 will never do what your setup can do..but i can damn well TRY!

I'll be happy with anything between 250-270whp.
....
MP62 is around 475 CFM, using 35bhp to do such (Compressor map) and at the edge (17,000 RPM) (depending on engine size 14 PSI)
Ive seen 300-310 HP numbers.
Now you are doing the same but with a Forth Gen Eaton.... Depending on engine size (because of the whole Boost makes Heat part of the equation) if you are not above 300 I would get a new engine.

If he's not above 300 its because the car is tuned conservatively on a large pulley in an effort to keep the motor in one piece. :p
what good is a motor in one piece if it doesnt have 300hp?

SO, knowing this, he likes to wast money in some frugal effort to do what the stock blower would have?

Or push the stock motor to its limit and then build it and surpass?!
Tinkles(KGM) wrote:I'll be happy with anything between 250-270whp.
Um...?
If that is the goal...
That was what I was going after Philly D, because a MP62 can do that (though dose not sound as bad ass as a TVS)

Oldskool and I were just talking about someone having your reaction. Overlook the fact that i am barely spinning the TVS and just see that i am not over 300whp with a TVS.
250-270whp is the goal on my STOCK eco. That way i can still enjoy the car while i collect parts and get my built eco together. Once the built eco is in then i am shooting for 400whp or more and then tossing nitrous on top of it(just because).
Mine with that range of power soon after a tune is going to be nothing but a ticking time bomb. So its obviously way more ideal to be on the lower hp/tq end but doing so with ease and little risk to the motor itself.

That was not directed to you man.
What displacement is the blower?

The Harrop is 1.32 liters. I am pretty sure Eaton has a compressor map on its website for it.
So at the raged tip of 13,000 RPM and 1.85 BAR you will be flowing right around 590 CFM...
Rough guessing of 1.45 CFM\WHP comes out to 406 Crank.
So, with some tweaking....
@17,000 (where I always had my MP45 near) it would move 824 CFM...568
But keep in mind that the engine must be capable of moving that much air. Ive seen lots of over zealous Cobra owners shove on TVS2300's and pop built engines because it just can not move 2.3L\Rev of air through a 4.6L engine at 2 BAR.
But that do sound oh-so nice doing it.
Math is fun.

I dont know how much you can relay on it, but the HTV1320 LSJ was intended for the 2.0L LSJ and i think i saw(maybe on Eaton's or Harrop's website where the "appropriate displacement" for the HTV1320 was 2.0-2.2L. I'll have to check again when i have time.
The biggest thing we can do to make big power with these is a very aggressive port on the head and a nice cam.
From my reading it seems to be the choke point.
I'm waiting until after the holidays road trips for dyno fun with the TVS, so I can crank it up and not worry about grenading the stock long block.

I ended up looking at apartments instead of dynoing the cav. Besides the BCM is dying in it and i am thinking about just swapping to the LD9 PCM.
Tinkles(KGM) wrote: i am thinking about just swapping to the LD9 PCM.
Good choice! I think we've gotten most of the bugs worked out on mine now, so yours should be a breeze for Ryan to tune.
Tinkles(KGM) wrote: i am thinking about just swapping to the LD9 PCM.
I know nothing about this. Is there a thread somewhere I can check out?
