What Kind of 1/4 times are you GM S/C guys pulling and additional mods do you have.
Can the GM Charger put you into the low to mid 13's with mods?

On a good day, you should gain around 1/2 of a second, but that is on a pretty much stock car. The GM S/C can get you into the 13's, but you will need a lot more than just the s/c. It all depends on how much money you have.
does the charger have enough juice to put a cav in the 12's or will it just simply not supply enough cfm?

Check my profile for my new timeslips, I just posted them. I gained 1/2 a second with it on my best run, but I also fouled that run by -.013 of a second.
It will be VERY hard if not impossible to get into the 12's with just the SC alone, you will need help from other mods such as nitrous or internals and what not........
correct, i am aware of what it will take to get into the 12's i will be happy with mid 13's.

im going with cams, forged internals (already from turbo)... n20-35 shot

the reason the 35 shot, as when cranking the boost, there is still boost there but there is no gain due to the air getting so hot, the 35 shot will in reality add twice to three times that...hopefully...i want to dyno it. there is nothing wrong with a turbo, its just very time involved, and i also want off idle boost.

its just a different way of cooling, so how does the gm charger like the cold n20 as far as durability or do u think that its too early to tell because the kit hasn't been out for long enough

If I get a new Cav, it will be a 00-02 z24 5-speed coupe. The convertables weigh around 2800 pounds, and it is an automatic. Still, I tear down 5.0's all the time, and if it is cold out, well, you know i will be gone. That night at the track it was hot too, next time i will schedual to go on a cool day along with minor weight reduction.
Ive gone through 5 10 lb. bottles on a 20 shot and 3 fills on a 50 shot, no problems so far. Ive got 40k miles on the car 30k w/ the blower and started spraying when I had 20k miles on the motor. Lowpro has been running a 70 shot but he runs a little lean on the top end due to the stock fuel pump, but still the motors still running strong. As far as I know he has fastest times w/ the blower, 13.2 @ 110 I think.
If you want more power than the kit comes with, send it here www.theoldone.com

Larry is more pricey than others, but you get what you paid for. You want to whoop-@!#$, you'll call Larry, if you wanna semi whoop @!#$, you'll call somebody else.

Larry knows his way around the M45 supercharger. Usually works on JRSC kits, but the blowers are the same.

He can get you a cooler running, better flowing M45 that will run 13-14psi for short blast (ie: 1/4 mile). If you add water/alky injection, you'll be able to run it as hard as you want, as long as the water bottle is full.

He has several custom sized pullies available and can spec the right one to work on your J-body.

BTW has anybody cracked 200hp with the GM kit on a j-body yet, without nitrous?

Something comin up very soon!

yeah i think ron had 214hp to the wheels the gm blower stock is 190 hp and the crank, which is good for 4.5 psi. the blower i hear responds VERY well to bolt ons.

I dyno'd 198.5 with mine last spring and I'm sure I'm over 200 now. New dyno in 2 weeks. Oh yeah, and I will actually go and get an actual real dyno.

Anthony - can you give us a little more info on what "larry" does to the charger??

tell me more about this larry person.

i wonder what some of the RSM s/c time are
Re: Supercharged times
Wednesday, April 07, 2004 10:39 AM
I think rsm puts you in the low to high tens, thats minutes of course.

Re: Supercharged times
Wednesday, April 07, 2004 10:50 AM
the rsm supercharger has alot of potential, centrigufal chargers are more efficient than roots type and are easier to intercool or aftercool if you will, people just need to tune their cars after they buy it and learn how to take car of a supercharger. I had a centrifugal charger on my explorer and I had no problems with it for 65k miles, then I sold it ( 10-13mpg in the city gets old)
Re: Supercharged times

Lowpro dynoed at 206hp@the wheels on the charger, and 268hp and 256 torque using the SC and a 70 shot NOS dry kit. The next day he ran a 13.2 @110mph. Blower was making 5psi.

110mph trap is plenty good for 12's just need a bit more traction. There is plenty left also, his setup with the addition of a ported head and cams should make his car a mid 12 second street car..........on nitrous.

not saying the rsm s/c is bad.

just saying look at how long it has been out.

and look at the gm s/c with simple bolt on's and no other hassles people have been getting low 14's with ease. Almost everyone with the gm s/c is in the 14's somewhere.

(14's isnt fast)
