Did all of you guys who tapped the dimple on the backside of the Lower crankcase/Girdle replace the main bolts and the 20 odd crank case bolts when you re-installed it? I was told that the price for these bolts were a ridiculous amount of money, and was just wondering if you guys had done it when you tapped your blocks. Thanks.

Well it appears that there is not sufficient room to tap the girdle/lower crank case without dropping it as well on my N-body (with A/T). Im jealous of the space you guys have, but I guess I make up for it in under hood room though :p

When my blower was put on the oil pan was removed tapped and then cleaned up real good with special care that no metal shavings were present, if you screw up its alot easier to replace the pan and cheaper
